A Book and Some Pictures

Matt Humphries may have given me the greatest book i will ever read, minus the ole good book:

" We begin our profession of faith by saying : "I believe" or "We believe." Before expounding the Church's faith, as confessed in the Creed, celebrated in the liturgy, and lived in observance of God's commandments and in prayer, we must first ask what "to beleive" means. Faith is man's response to God, who reveals himself and gives himself to man, at the same time bringing man a superabundant light as he searches for the ultimate meaning of his life. Thus we shall consider first that search (Chapter One), then the divine Revelation by which God comes to meet man (Chapter Two), and finally the response of faith (Chapter Three). "

i feel like i will be able to explore some thoughts that ive been asking myself and a few others for the past few years, and also that a conversation will be started, a conversation that has been dormant for a long time now.

Jesse's Ladder

There is no ultimate truth.
There is atleast 1 ultimate truth.
There are atleast 2 ultimate truths.
There are atleast 3 ultimate truths.
There are atleast 4 ultimate truths.
There are atleast 5 ultimate truths.
There are atleast 6 ultimate truths.
There are atleast 7 ultimate truths.
There are atleast 8 ultimate truths.

a while back i was visiting some friends in Kentucky. you know those long lost type of friends? the ones from college that you regret youll probably never see much again. well for some reason that morning was particularly amazing. we were sitting in Starbucks and Dave Applegate wrote some stuff on a napkin. i dont really know why i thought it was so special, i guess i just needed to feel something. anyway, here it is as promised, only a few years late. enjoy.

How come no one ever speaks about peace? We hear anti-Bush chants and anti-weapon cries, but who has spoken on behalf of love?

I just want to meet someone who isn't about politics or blame or war, just someone who thinks killing is bad, love is good. period.

I wonder if anyone has ever said something to the extent of "Love God, and love each other"?

I bet if someone ever lived that out, they would be worthy to be worshipped.

Then again, if someone ever lived that out, we'd probably stick a crown of thorns on his fucking head and kill that son of a bitch.
